“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. 9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.10 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, 11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. ~Isaiah 55:8-11
Enjoying our snow day here in Texas while it lasts...

Homemade bread
This past Sunday I finally fulfilled the desire I have been having to make some homemade bread.
I also wanted to use my new mixer *Grin* ( A big thank you to my in-laws!)
So I got busy and whipped some up...
I made one round because I only have one loaf pan... I liked it better - more crust! I added more seasoning and olive oil too!
Letting it rise...
Finished loaf.
Finished round.
Only problem is, as of this morning it's gone! Guess that means the hubby likes it!

Busy, busy!
I haven't posted in a while because we have been busy with... Work, getting ready to move, My sister Victoria moving in with us while she goes to school, me starting a new job right after Christmas and so on and so forth.
November came and went... Yummy Thanksgiving with friends and family...I'm another year older.... Oh, and we got to see these sweet friends!
and we finally got to meet their handsome little sweetie
Chillin'

Of course there has to be a picture of Mr Reynolds making a crazy face... it just wouldn't be right not to add it!

Other than that we have just been enjoying the holidays and all the festivities.
This little guy has been keeping us laughing as well
I hope you all have a blessed Christmas, spending time with the ones you love.
Merry Christmas from

Eric Ludy - Depraved Indifference
I suffer from Depraved Indifference... I don't like it... And I don't know what to do about it yet!
This touched me deeply....
Lord give me a heart like Yours!

A Fall Treat
Pumpkin Pancakes = Happiness! I made a batch Sunday and they were so yummy!
Pumpkin Pancakes
Ingredients
* 2 cups all-purpose flour
* 3 tablespoons brown sugar
* 2 teaspoons baking powder
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 teaspoon ground allspice
* 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 1/2 cups milk
* 1 cup pumpkin puree
* 1 egg
* 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
* 2 tablespoons vinegar ( I didn't add this cause I was out, and they turned out fine... Just add a little extra milk if it looks too thick)
Directions
1. In a separate bowl, mix together the milk, pumpkin, egg, oil and vinegar. Combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, allspice, cinnamon, ginger and salt, stir into the pumpkin mixture just enough to combine.
2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
You could add some pecans to it or just sprinkle them on top... warm up your maple syrup and enjoy!

Happy Birthday Jack!
Today my precious nephew turns 3! He has grown so much in the past year, learning new things every day. When he was born I was so excited, and after holding him for the first time he had my heart!
This handsome little dude has brought SO much joy to our family! Couldn't imagine life without him!
We love you Jack Edwin!

Something to think about
I saw this video on my cousins blog and thought I would share.
I'm very thankful that neither Tim or I were raised with the usual Christmas hype... I know it's easy to get consumed.. it's already all around us, and we haven't even celebrated Thanksgiving yet!
It's about The birth of Jesus,(weather He was born on that day or not) It's about Family and being together! It's also about helping those in need... which we are supposed to do all year long...
I'm blessed to know many wonderful ministries that help out so much in the community. Like this one http://handshearts.org/, and this one, http://www.dentonfreedomhouse.org/
There is also a lady in our church that started a ministry Called ALERT (Awareness, Love, Education, Restoration and Transition to new life) to help spread awareness about sex trafficking... She goes into Juvenile detention and share's the love of Jesus with the girls who have never felt real love. She doesn't have a website yet or I would post it.
As we get closer to the holidays I pray we are more concerned with what we can give and do than what we can get.
Be sweet,
Katie
